Beef & Vegetable Stir Fry


  • 1 lb Sliced Beef
  • 4 bell peppers (various colors)
  • 1 carrot
  • 1/2 cup Snow Peas
  • 1/2 cup baby corn
  • 3 spring onions
  • 1/2 small onion (sliced)
  • 1 tsp. ginger, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 tsp. garlic, finely chopped (optional)
  • 2 tsp corn starch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp. rice vinegar
  • Oil for cooking
  • Chili Oil
  • Black Pepper (to taste)


  1. In a large skillet or wok heat cooking oil.

  2. Stir fry the onions and green onions, remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. Stir fry the bell peppers, remove from skillet and set aside.

  4. Stir fry the rest of the vegetables, remove from skillet and set aside.

  5. Season the beef with salt pepper and brown.  Stir in the ginger and garlic and mix with the beef.

  6. Dissolve the starch in cold water, add the vinegar, chili oil and soy sauce and stir into the beef.

  7. Bring to a boil and simmer until the sauce thickens and beef is done.

  8. A few minutes before serving, stir in the vegetables and bring to a boil.

  9. Serve with rice or noodles.
