Roquefort Salad


Ingredients

  • 3 Romaine hearts
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • 1 cup crumbled Roquefort, Gorgonzola or Blue cheese
  • 1 cup toasted almonds, walnuts or pecans
  • 1 cup tart apples, cored and diced
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Cut or tear the lettuce into 2 inch pieces.

  2. In a large salad bowl, whisk oil, vinegar, honey, salt and pepper.

  3. Add lettuce, apples, almonds and cheese and toss well.
