Baked Kefta (Kefta bil Sinnieh)
2 lb ground meat (beef, lamb or a mixture of both)
1 medium onion, minced
1 cup parsley leaves
1 tomato, peeled
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. black pepper, adjust to taste
Salt and black pepper, to taste (for the tomatoes)
In a food processor, chop the tomato, onion and parsley leaves.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the meat, salt, pepper, onions, parsley and tomato mixture and mix by hand until thoroughly mixed.
spread the meat mixture in a baking dish.
Cook in a preheated oven 350F for about 30 minutes.
Top with tomato slices seasoned with salt and pepper and cook for another 20 - 30 minutes.
