Kefta bil sinniyeh, كفتة بالصينية Servings: 4- 6

Baked Kefta (Kefta bil Sinnieh)


  • 2 lb ground meat (beef, lamb or a mixture of both)
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 1 cup parsley leaves
  • 1 tomato, peeled
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. black pepper, adjust to taste
  • Tomato slices
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste (for the tomatoes)


  1. In a food processor, chop the tomato, onion and parsley leaves.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the meat, salt, pepper, onions, parsley and tomato mixture and mix by hand until thoroughly mixed.

  3. spread the meat mixture in a baking dish.

  4. Cook in a preheated oven 350F for about 30 minutes.

  5. Top with tomato slices seasoned with salt and pepper and cook for another 20 - 30 minutes.
