1 cup Coarse Cracked Wheat (Burghul, bulgur) (No. 3)
1 tsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. tomato paste
2 tbsp. vermicelli noodles
Salt, to taste
1 cup water
Rinse and drain the cracked wheat.
Heat oil in saucepan, stir fry the vermicelli noodles.
Stir in the cracked wheat for a few minutes, until it is coated with the olive oil.
Add the tomato paste, salt, water and bring to a boil.br />
When the water level reduces to below the cracked wheat, lower the heat and simmer until the water is absorbed.
Serve hot with grilled or roasted meat or chicken.
